Shots from the road: Goodbye Patagonia

We’ve had a busy couple of weeks since leaving Puerto Varas. From there, we boarded a bus back across the mountains to Argentina, more specifically Bariloche. The town’s a swanky spot dedicated to the good things in life: beer, chocolate and skiing.

It’s too early for skiing, but I made sure to investigate the other two. And we made amends with perhaps the most exhausting hike we’ve done so far (much more wearing than the Torres del Paine), a steep slog up to the Cerro Catedral. The view at the top made it all worthwhile.

Bariloche was our last stop in Patagonia, where we’ve been ever since leaving Buenos Aires. Such an inspiring, elemental part of the world. It’s been a privilege to see it.

Bye bye Bariloche
